In Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, former Telangana Governor and BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of misleading people by vacating the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala. She described this as an example of dynastic politics, noting that Rahul Gandhi did not inform the public about contesting in another constituency.

Priyanka Gandhi to Contest in Wayanad

The Congress party announced that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will contest the bypoll in Wayanad. Tamilisai Soundararajan criticized the Gandhi family, stating that the constituency belongs to the people, not a family. She urged Wayanad residents to consider this before voting.

Wayanad will hold elections on November 13, alongside bye-elections in 47 assembly seats across 15 states. If Priyanka Gandhi wins, she will join Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi as the third MP from the Gandhi family in the current Parliament.
