Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin Responds to Deputy CM Rumors and Rajinikanth’s Comments
Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], September 21: Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin addressed rumors about his potential elevation to Deputy Chief Minister after seeing misleading YouTube thumbnails. The thumbnails suggested that Superstar Rajinikanth was frustrated with the announcement, which Udhayanidhi clarified was not true.
Udhayanidhi Stalin said, “This morning after completing one event I opened my phone and watched YouTube. I got scared after opening YouTube and seeing a thumbnail in a video. That thumbnail says – ‘Does Udhayanidhi to become Deputy CM? Superstar Rajinikanth is frustrated’. I got scared. Still, there is no announcement made regarding elevation, full rights are with the Chief Minister only.”
He also mentioned that Rajinikanth, who was at the airport for a movie shoot, refused to comment on political questions when approached by the media. Udhayanidhi emphasized that any decision regarding the Deputy CM position would be made by Chief Minister MK Stalin.
Earlier, on September 19, Tamil Nadu minister Tha Mo Anbarasan had indicated that Udhayanidhi Stalin might be announced as the Deputy Chief Minister within the next 7 to 10 days. He also mentioned the upcoming DMK Diamond Jubilee public meeting scheduled for September 28 at Kanchipuram Pachayappa’s College for Men Ground, which will be led by CM MK Stalin.
Udhayanidhi Stalin had previously dismissed the speculation, stating that such decisions are solely the Chief Minister’s prerogative. He urged the media not to make decisions on his behalf.
