Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin Addresses Deputy CM Speculation
Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has dismissed rumors about his potential elevation to Deputy Chief Minister. Speaking to reporters, Udhayanidhi emphasized that such decisions are made by the Chief Minister and urged the media not to speculate.
Udhayanidhi stated, “CM will take the decision, and you don’t take a decision on it. All ministers are and will be with CM. You have to ask the CM. It is totally CM’s right to decide about it.”
Earlier, Udhayanidhi had downplayed similar speculations, expressing his preference for his current role as youth wing secretary. He remarked, “Whatever post, according to me, the youth wing secretary post is my favourite.”
AIADMK Spokesperson Kovai Sathyan alleged that Udhayanidhi’s elevation would signal the end of DMK, predicting a split within the party before the 2026 assembly elections.
Recently, Udhayanidhi received praise from the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for successfully organizing India’s first F4 Night Street Car Race in Chennai. The Chief Minister applauded Udhayanidhi and the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu for making the event a “roaring success.”
