A heated exchange has erupted between Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi and Chief Minister MK Stalin over the celebration of Hindi Month and the Golden Jubilee of Chennai Doordarshan. Governor Ravi criticized CM Stalin’s remarks as “unfortunately cheap” and accused him of lowering the dignity of his office. Ravi defended his respect for the Tamil language and highlighted efforts by the central government to promote it globally.

Governor Ravi, on social media platform X, expressed his disappointment over Stalin’s “racist remarks” and “false imputations”. He emphasized his commitment to the Tamil language, mentioning initiatives like a Tamil diploma course at Gauhati University in Assam.
