Tamil Nadu CM Stalin Visits House of Murdered BSP Leader Armstrong
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin visited the house of the murdered BSP State President K Armstrong in Chennai. He paid a floral tribute to Armstrong’s portrait and consoled his wife and close relatives.
The Incident
Armstrong was hacked to death last Friday evening by unidentified men near his residence in Perambur, Chennai. The police suspect the involvement of associates of gangster Arcot Suresh, who was murdered last year.
Police Investigation
Asra Garg, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), North Chennai, stated that eight people have been arrested, and several weapons, a Zomato t-shirt, a Zomato bag, and three bikes were seized. The motive is believed to be linked to the murder of Arcot Suresh, which his associates think was conspired by Armstrong.
Reactions
BSP supremo Mayawati called for immediate action from the Tamil Nadu government, expressing shock over the murder. Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai criticized the state’s law and order situation, urging the government to allow the police to act freely to prevent such incidents.
