Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin Praises Rajnath Singh for Honoring Karunanidhi
On August 19, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin expressed his gratitude to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for his heartfelt praise of former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi during a centenary celebration. Stalin mentioned that Rajnath Singh’s words were so commendable that even DMK leaders couldn’t have spoken better.
Stalin addressed the criticism from opposition leader Edappadi Palaniswami, who questioned why Rahul Gandhi was not invited to the event. Stalin clarified that the event was organized by the central government and not by DMK.
Earlier, on August 18, Stalin had chosen Rajnath Singh to release a commemorative 100-rupee coin to mark Karunanidhi’s birth anniversary, despite their different political backgrounds. He thanked both Rajnath Singh and Prime Minister Modi for their support. Rajnath Singh praised Karunanidhi as a revered leader, a titan of Indian politics, an able administrator, an advocate for social justice, and a cultural stalwart.
The event saw the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Union MoS L Murugan, and other leaders and officials.
