Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin Pays Tribute to Annadurai and Announces Major Investments
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, along with party workers, paid floral tribute to DMK founder and former Chief Minister Annadurai on his 116th birth anniversary. Annadurai was the first Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and passed away in 1969.
Stalin, who recently returned from the US, announced that 19 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 7,618 crore were signed during his tour. These agreements are expected to create 11,516 jobs in the state.
One of the major announcements was that Ford Motor Company will restart operations at its closed manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu, creating around 5,000 jobs. This decision came after high-level discussions between Ford and the Tamil Nadu government.
Other significant investments include:
- Rs 100 crore by RGBSI to establish an advanced electronics and telematics manufacturing unit in Hosur.
- Rs 666 crore by Rockwell Automation to expand its manufacturing in Kanchipuram, creating 365 jobs.
- Rs 2000 crore by Trilliant to establish a manufacturing unit and a Development and Global Support Centre in Tamil Nadu.
Stalin also met with top executives from several global companies to invite further investments in the state.
