Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Honor M Karunanidhi with Commemorative Coin
On August 18, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh celebrated the birth centenary of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi by releasing a commemorative 100-rupee coin in Chennai.
Despite their different political backgrounds, MK Stalin expressed his gratitude to Rajnath Singh for gracing the occasion, stating that Singh was his first choice for the event. Stalin also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support.
Rajnath Singh praised Karunanidhi as one of the most revered leaders of the country, a titan of Indian politics, an able administrator, an advocate for social justice, and a cultural stalwart. He emphasized that Karunanidhi’s influence extended beyond Tamil Nadu, benefiting the entire nation.
Union MoS L Murugan and other leaders and officials were also present at the event. Rajnath Singh highlighted Karunanidhi’s remarkable abilities to address people’s needs during his tenure as a five-time Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
