Tamil Nadu CM M K Stalin Announces Aid After Firecracker Factory Explosion in Thoothukudi
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has announced financial assistance for the victims of a tragic explosion at a firecracker factory in Thoothukudi. The explosion, which took place at the Sivashakthi Fireworks factory around 5:30 pm on Saturday, resulted in the deaths of two workers, Muthukannan (21) and Vijay (25), and left four others injured.
The injured individuals, identified as Selvam (21), Prashanth (20), Sendhurkani (45), and Muthumari (41), are currently receiving treatment at Sathankulam Government Hospital.
Chief Minister Stalin expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and announced that Rs three lakh would be given to the families of the deceased and Rs one lakh to those seriously injured and undergoing treatment.
In a similar incident, two people were recently killed in an explosion at a firecracker factory in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul district, as confirmed by Dindigul SP Pratheep.
