Tamil Nadu BJP Chief Annamalai Speaks on BSP Leader Armstrong’s Murder

Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai has expressed deep concern over the murder of state BSP president K Armstrong, highlighting the poor law and order situation in the state. Armstrong was killed by unidentified men near his home in Chennai.

Annamalai stated, “We are extremely saddened by the death of a prominent leader in Tamil Nadu. This murder has clearly showcased the poor law and order in Tamil Nadu and the DMK government’s denial.”

He added that his party will request Union Home Minister Amit Shah to investigate the murder. “Tamil Nadu BSP president late Armstrong should get justice. So we are requesting Union Minister Amit Shah to know the reality of the murder and to investigate the case,” Annamalai said.

Chennai police have arrested eight suspects and seized weapons and other items used in the crime. The police suspect the involvement of associates of gangster Arcot Suresh, who was murdered last year. Additional Commissioner of Police Asra Garg mentioned that the motive appears to be linked to the belief that Armstrong conspired in Suresh’s murder.

BSP leader Mayawati has called for immediate government action, stating, “The brutal murder of a hardworking and dedicated leader of the BSP in Tamil Nadu has sent shockwaves across society. The government should immediately take strict and necessary action to prevent such incidents in the future.”
