On August 28, Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defence reported spotting 30 Chinese PLA aircraft, 7 PLAN vessels, and one official ship around the country by 6 am. Out of these, 27 aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered Taiwan’s southwestern and eastern Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ).

The Ministry stated, “We have monitored the situation and responded.”

On Tuesday, Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defence detected 15 Chinese military aircraft and seven naval vessels. Nine of these aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered Taiwan’s southeastern and southwestern ADIZ.

China has been increasing its military activities around Taiwan, including regular air and naval incursions into Taiwan’s ADIZ and military exercises near the island. Taiwan has been governed independently since 1949, but China considers it part of its territory and insists on eventual reunification, by force if necessary.

Earlier on Monday, the Taiwanese Ministry of National Defence detected 12 PLA aircraft and six PLAN vessels around its territory. Seven of these aircraft crossed the median line and entered Taiwan’s Eastern ADIZ.
