Swedish Uyghur Committee Urges Action Against China’s Treatment of Uyghur Children

The Swedish Uyghur Committee (SUK) has issued a statement calling on China and its president, Xi Jinping, to stop the humanitarian abuses against Uyghur children in East Turkistan. The SUK highlighted that while Xi may show compassion for children in mainland China, over a million Uyghur children have been abducted and separated from their families by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

According to the SUK, these children are subjected to indoctrination, organ harvesting, torture, starvation, execution, and forced labor. Their identities are being systematically erased as part of a broader genocide under China’s occupation of East Turkistan. The statement also accuses Xi Jinping of eliminating future generations of Uyghurs through the forced sterilization of Uyghur women.

The SUK criticized the international community’s silence on the issue, calling it a moral failure. They urged the global community to recognize China’s actions as genocide and to take steps to address the atrocities.
