Swati Maliwal Protests Against Polluted Water in Delhi
In New Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party MP Swati Maliwal expressed her frustration over the poor quality of water being supplied to residents. After visiting homes in Dwarka, she found that the water was dirty, black, and foul-smelling. In protest, she collected the water in a bottle and threw it outside the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Atishi.
Maliwal warned that if the water supply does not improve within fifteen days, she would return with a tanker of the polluted water. She criticized the Chief Minister, who is also the Water Minister, for not addressing the issue and questioned the role of Dwarka MLA Vinay Mishra, Vice President of the Delhi Jal Board.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Atishi accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of playing “dirty politics,” which she claims is the root cause of pollution in Delhi. She assured the public that the Aam Aadmi Party, led by Arvind Kejriwal, is working to resolve the pollution issues, including efforts to reduce stubble burning in Punjab.
