New Delhi, India – Swami Sri Govindananda Saraswati Maharaj of the Jyotirmath Trust has accused Swami Avimukteshwaranand of being a ‘fake baba’ and alleged that he is supported by the Congress party. During a press conference, Swami Govindananda criticized Avimukteshwaranand, claiming he has a criminal record and has been involved in various illegal activities.

Allegations Against Swami Avimukteshwaranand

Swami Govindananda stated that Avimukteshwaranand has been hiding from the law and has a non-bailable arrest warrant issued against him by the Varanasi Court. He also accused Avimukteshwaranand of making false claims about stolen gold from Kedarnath and questioned his authenticity as a religious leader.

Political Connections

Swami Govindananda alleged that the Congress party, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, has been supporting Avimukteshwaranand. He criticized Priyanka Gandhi for addressing Avimukteshwaranand as Shankaracharya in a letter, despite a Supreme Court stay on the matter.

Criminal Record

Swami Govindananda highlighted Avimukteshwaranand’s criminal history, mentioning that he had to pay fines for bail and has been involved in various legal issues. He also accused Avimukteshwaranand of lying to the court to gain bail and misleading his followers.

Earlier, Swami Avimukteshwaranand had visited Matoshree, the residence of Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray.
