Sushil Malik and Rajmohan Pillai Take Leadership Roles in Sport Climbing Federation of India

The Sport Climbing Federation of India (SCFI) has recently announced new leadership appointments. Sushil Malik, founder and Director of Herbal Healing Hands, Georgia, has been named Vice President, while Rajmohan Pillai, Chairman of the Beta Group, is the new President. The election took place at the Trivandrum Tennis Club.

New Leadership

Sushil Malik, with his extensive international experience, is expected to bring significant contributions to the SCFI. He has been instrumental in nurturing young athletes, particularly in Haryana, where he has been active in the boxing circuit. Rajmohan Pillai, with his leadership experience in the Beta Group, aims to promote climbing as an important sport in India.

Focus on Athlete Development

The SCFI, led by General Secretary Col. SP Malik, emphasizes the importance of scientific athlete development. The new strategy will address nutritional, psychological, and physical aspects to enhance athlete performance and well-being. Sushil Malik highlighted the need for advanced recovery and guidance for athletes testing the limits of today’s climbing challenges.

Rajmohan Pillai stated that the growing interest in climbing in India requires a sustainable ecosystem to support budding talents. The SCFI is committed to nurturing talent and promoting the sport across the country.
