Suryakumar Yadav Shines with 53 Runs in T20 World Cup Match Against Afghanistan

Bridgetown [Barbados], June 20: In an exciting T20 World Cup 2024 match, India’s star batter Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant knock of 53 runs against Afghanistan. He scored these runs from just 28 balls, hitting 5 fours and 3 sixes, achieving a strike rate of 189.29.

Suryakumar’s innings ended in the 17th over when Fazalhaq Farooqi dismissed him. Speaking after the first inning, Suryakumar said he enjoyed batting from the seventh over, which he found to be the most challenging phase. He credited his success to backing his game and instincts, and also mentioned the understanding he shares with India skipper Rohit Sharma.
