Surinder Choudhary Wins Nowshera: NC-Congress Alliance Triumphs in Jammu and Kashmir Elections

In the recent Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, the Congress-National Conference (NC) alliance emerged victorious. NC leader Surinder Choudhary won the Nowshera constituency, defeating BJP President Ravinder Raina by 7,819 votes. Choudhary emphasized that the election was a battle between truth and lies, rather than a contest between political parties.

The NC-Congress alliance secured an absolute majority with 49 seats, with NC winning 42 and Congress 6. NC MP Ruhullah Mehdi announced that the process of forming the government has begun, and details will be revealed soon.

NC Vice-President Omar Abdullah stated that the new government should pass a resolution to engage in talks with the union government to restore Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood. He stressed the importance of cooperation with the Lieutenant Governor for the benefit of the people.

Abdullah assured that the future government would work for all citizens, including those who voted for the BJP and those who abstained. He emphasized that governance should benefit everyone, regardless of their voting choices.
