Supriya Sule Criticizes Amit Shah’s Waqf Board Law Amendment Plans

In Nagpur, Maharashtra, Supriya Sule of the NCP-SP responded to Union Minister Amit Shah’s statement about amending the Waqf board law. Shah declared that the Modi government would change the law to prevent private land from being declared as Waqf property. Sule emphasized that India operates under a Constitution, not invisible forces, questioning the potential end of the Joint Parliamentary Committee. Shah mentioned that the Maha Vikas Aghadi opposes the changes, but the bill will soon pass in Parliament. He criticized the Waqf Board of Karnataka for transferring lands to Waqf property, asserting that such actions won’t be possible after the amendment. Sule also criticized the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance’s divisive slogan, stating it contradicts Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s Constitution, which promotes love and unity. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in rallies, accused Congress of creating divisions and urged unity with the slogan “hum ek hain to safe hain.”
