Sunil Sangwan Accuses Congress of Defamation
Charkhi Dadri (Haryana), September 6 – Sunil Sangwan, the BJP candidate from Dadri Assembly seat and former jailer, has accused the Congress party of trying to defame him. Sangwan, who served as the Jail Superintendent at Rohtak Jail, stated that he never recommended parole for Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who is serving a 20-year jail term for raping two of his disciples. He clarified that the parole decisions were made by the Divisional Commissioner.
Sunil Sangwan’s family has been associated with the BJP for the past thirty years. He believes that the Congress party felt threatened by his candidature and anticipated losing the Dadri assembly constituency. Sangwan took voluntary retirement to contest in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, which will be held on October 5, with votes counted on October 8.

In a significant boost to the Congress party, Olympian wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat have joined the party. They were welcomed by Congress general secretary KC Venugopal, party leader Pawan Khera, Haryana Congress chief Udai Bhan, and AICC in-charge of Haryana, Deepak Babaria.
Vinesh Phogat expressed her commitment to serving the nation and supporting women. She thanked the Congress party for standing by her during difficult times and assured that the party would continue to fight for women’s rights.
