Sunderbani College Moves to New Building on Jammu-Rajouri Highway
In a significant development for over 600 students, Sunderbani College has relocated to a newly constructed building at Thanda Pani along the Jammu-Rajouri Highway. This move addresses the space and facility challenges faced by students in the Sunderbani area of Rajouri District, who previously attended classes in a local middle school.
The new campus offers a better learning environment, with ongoing construction for separate boys and girls hostels and a playground for extracurricular activities. Jasbir, a student, expressed relief over the improved facilities, especially the availability of a ground for activities.
Riya Sharma, another student, noted the enhanced facilities, including better classrooms and a library, and mentioned that transportation is now more accessible. However, she hopes for the introduction of science and commerce streams to prevent students from having to study outside the area.
These improvements are part of a larger effort to enhance the educational environment and attract more students from nearby areas. The college administration plans further expansion to meet the growing needs of students and improve academic facilities.
