UAE Participates in GCC Industrial Cooperation Meeting in Qatar
Sultan Al Jaber, the UAE’s Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, led a delegation at the 53rd Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Industrial Cooperation Committee meeting in Qatar. The UAE delegation included Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), Farah Al Zarouni, Assistant Undersecretary for Standards and Regulations of MoIAT, and Osama Amir Fadhel, Assistant Undersecretary for Industrial Accelerators at MoIAT.
The meeting focused on several important topics, such as the application of standards for Gulf products and a whitepaper on industrial integration among GCC countries. A unified industrial development strategy was also discussed, along with the Gulf Industrial Excellence Award program, which recognized several companies for their achievements.

Qatar, as the current chair of the GCC session, hosted the meetings to enhance collaboration among member states. The gatherings provided a platform for exchanging expertise, discussing industrial legislation, and expanding the GCC’s influence in international forums.

Additionally, the 8th Ministerial Committee on Standardization was held, chaired by Al Zeyoudi, focusing on GCC Standardization Organization strategies. Several companies were recognized for their achievements, including five Emirati companies that received the Gulf Industrial Excellence Award.
