Born on December 28, 1937, Ratan Tata was the Chairman of Tata Sons and led the Tata Group from 1991 to 2012. He was also the Chairman of Ratan Tata Trust and Dorabji Tata Trust, major philanthropic organizations in India. In 2008, he received the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian award.
