Pradeep Singh Kharola Takes Charge

The Indian government has removed Subodh Kumar Singh from his role as Director General of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and placed him on ‘compulsory wait’ in the Department of Personnel and Training. This decision follows allegations of irregularities in the conduct of exams.

Pradeep Singh Kharola has been given additional charge of the NTA. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has postponed the NEET-PG exam, initially scheduled for June 23, and will announce a new date soon. This postponement aims to ensure the integrity of the examination process.

The Ministry of Education has formed a high-level committee led by former ISRO chairman Dr. K. Radhakrishnan to recommend reforms in the examination process and data security. The committee will submit its report in two months.

The Ministry of Health regrets the inconvenience caused to students and emphasizes that the decision was made in their best interests.
