State Level Youth Exchange Programme 2024 Kicks Off in Shillong
The State Level Youth Exchange Programme 2024 has started at the Convocation Hall, NEHU, Shillong campus. This event, running from November 4th to 7th, brings together 500 young talents from 12 districts of Meghalaya for cultural interaction, idea exchange, learning, and talent showcasing.
Theme: ‘Today’s Youth-Tomorrow’s Leader’
Organized by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya, the programme aims to nurture youth and foster friendships. D.D Shira, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, highlighted the importance of appreciating and exchanging traditions and cultures among different tribes.
Opportunities for Youth
Youths will be selected to represent Meghalaya at various levels, including North-East, National, and International. The event features competitions, interactive sessions, and talent hunts.
International Empower Youth Programme
Over 24 youths were chosen for the International Empower Youth Programme in Jakarta, Indonesia. Trewasara Hadem and Shanlang Kioo Laloo, both selected for this programme, shared their gratitude and experiences, emphasizing the positive impact of previous youth exchange programs on their personal growth and leadership skills.
