On Sunday, a stampede at Mumbai’s Bandra Terminus railway station injured several people. Dr. Sushil, CMO of Bandra Bhaba Hospital, reported that 10 people were injured. Five were admitted, three were discharged, and two seriously injured were transferred to KEM hospital. The stampede happened on platform number 1.

Shiv Sena spokesperson Anand Dubey criticized the Mahayuti government, claiming a lack of accountability for public safety. He questioned the Union Railway Minister’s concern for the common people’s safety.

Western Railway CPRO Vineet Abhishek explained that the incident occurred as passengers attempted to board the moving train. He assured that measures like extra ticket counters and staff deployment are in place to ensure safe travel during the festive season.
