Srihari Nataraj and Dhinidhi Desinghu to Represent India at Paris Olympics 2024
Indian swimmer Srihari Nataraj, along with 14-year-old Dhinidhi Desinghu, will represent India at the Paris Olympics 2024. The Swimming Federation of India (SFI) announced their participation, with the event starting on July 26.
Srihari Nataraj’s Journey
Srihari Nataraj, 23, expressed his excitement about returning to the Olympics. He thanked the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) and the Sports Authority of India (SAI) for their support. He also acknowledged the help from Go Sports and the excellent training facilities he has access to.
Tokyo Olympics Experience
Nataraj shared his memorable experience at the Tokyo Olympics, where he met tennis legend Novak Djokovic and the Spanish football team. Although he didn’t make it to the semifinals, he learned valuable lessons and gained confidence in his abilities.
Upcoming Competitions
Nataraj will compete in the men’s 100m backstroke, while Dhinidhi will participate in the women’s 200m freestyle. This will be Nataraj’s second Olympic appearance, and Dhinidhi’s debut. The swimming competitions at Paris 2024 will take place from July 27 to August 4 at the Paris La Defense Arena.
