Special Campaign 4.0: Ministry of Women and Child Development’s Cleanliness Drive
The Ministry of Women and Child Development in India has launched Special Campaign 4.0 to enhance cleanliness and address pending tasks from October 2 to October 31, 2024. This initiative involves all Autonomous Bodies under the Ministry’s control. The campaign focuses on identifying cleanliness sites, managing space, beautifying offices, and disposing of scrap items according to General Financial Rules (GFR).
Efforts are being made to clear pending references from Members of Parliament, state governments, inter-ministerial communications, the Prime Minister’s Office, and public grievances. The Ministry has completed the preparatory phase, which included reviewing and organizing records, and uploaded the details on a portal.
On October 4, the Union Minister for Women and Child Development visited the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) in New Delhi to participate in voluntary cleaning activities and inspect the ongoing efforts. The Minister also planted trees, highlighting a commitment to environmental conservation.
Senior officers inspected various Ministry premises, including washrooms and storerooms, on October 9 to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
