Speaker of Djibouti’s National Assembly Visits Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi
Dileita Mohamed Dileita, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Djibouti, visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. He was accompanied by Yousif Al Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, and FNC members Mohammed Ahmed Hassan Al Dhahouri and Mohammed Al Yamahi.
The delegation toured the mosque’s halls and external corridors, learning about its message of coexistence, tolerance, and openness. They were briefed on the mosque’s role in promoting a tolerant Islamic culture and enhancing cultural communication worldwide. The tour also covered the mosque’s history, aesthetic grandeur, and exquisite Islamic architecture.
At the end of the visit, Dileita Mohamed Dileita received a gift that included floral mosaic designs of the exterior columns, a compass inspired by the mosque’s chandeliers, and a copy of ‘Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Lights of Peace.’ This publication features award-winning images and highlights the mosque’s unique architectural artistry.
