England’s Sophia Dunkley Returns for T20I Series Against New Zealand
England opener Sophia Dunkley has been recalled to the T20I squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand, starting on July 6. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced her return, highlighting her good form at the regional level.
The series will feature five matches, beginning in Southampton and moving to Hove, Canterbury, and two fixtures in London at the Kia Oval and Lord’s.
Freya Kemp, who was named as a batter against Pakistan, will be available as an all-rounder. However, Mahika Gaur will miss the series due to a small side strain.
Head coach Jon Lewis stated, “This five-match series against a strong New Zealand side is really important for us and also vital preparation as we build towards the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.”
