Sonia Gandhi to Lead Congress Meeting for Budget Session Strategy
A Congress parliamentary group meeting, chaired by Sonia Gandhi, is set for Monday to plan for the upcoming budget session. The meeting will be held at Sonia Gandhi’s residence.
Meanwhile, an all-party meeting will take place today at 11:00 am at the Main Committee Room, Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi. Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju will lead the meeting with floor leaders of political parties in both houses of Parliament.
Congress leaders Gaurav Gogoi and Pramod Tiwari will attend the all-party meeting on Sunday.
The budget session of Parliament will commence on July 22 and may conclude on August 12, depending on government business.
In the recent elections, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance won 293 seats, while the Congress-led INDIA bloc secured 230 seats, posing stiff competition and defying predictions.
