Soldier Hilal Ahmad Bhath Found After Abduction in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir
In Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have discovered the body of a missing soldier from the territorial army, Hilal Ahmad Bhath, who was abducted by terrorists. His body, found in a forest area, showed bullet wounds. The soldier had been missing since Tuesday, prompting a search operation by security forces.
Joint Counter-Terrorist Operation
A joint counter-terrorist operation was initiated by the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police, and other agencies in the Kazwan Forest, Kokernag, on October 8. The operation continued overnight as two territorial army soldiers were reportedly abducted, but one managed to escape.
Previous Anti-Terrorist Operation
Earlier, on October 5, two terrorists were neutralized, and a large quantity of warlike stores was recovered in the Kupwara district. This operation was conducted by the Army, BSF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Keran sector, following intelligence about terrorist movements.
