Indian opener Smriti Mandhana, along with her family, offered prayers at the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Tirumala on Tuesday. This visit came after she guided India to a 10-wicket victory over South Africa in a one-off Test match.

Mandhana’s Stellar Performance

Mandhana was in top form, reaching a century off just 122 balls. She scored a career-best 149 runs off 161 balls, including 27 fours and 1 six. Along with Shafali, who scored 205, they amassed 292 runs for the first wicket, putting India in a strong position.

Match Highlights

India declared at 603 for 6, and South Africa, despite a 337-run deficit, showed great determination. Laura Wolvaardt, Sune Luus, and Nadine de Klerk scored 122, 109, and 61 runs respectively. However, India broke South Africa’s resistance on the last day, securing a 10-wicket victory.

Upcoming T20I Series

After clinching the ODI and Test series, Harmanpreet Kaur’s India will face South Africa in a three-match T20I series at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from July 5 to 9.
