Smoke Fills Nagon Express in Andhra Pradesh and Train Derailments in Nadia and Mathura
On Sunday, smoke filled the Nagon Express near the Adaviramapuram-Siripuram railway gate in Kavali, Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh. The train was traveling from Sibsagar, Assam to Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The loco pilot stopped the train, and passengers safely disembarked. Railway personnel quickly repaired the issue, and the train continued its journey.
In another incident, the guard bogie of a goods train derailed in the goods ward of Ranaghat, Nadia district, during internal shunting. Despite the derailment, train movement on the Sealdah-Ranaghat route remained normal. Railway employees are working to restore the derailed train.
Earlier in the day, a freight train traveling from Alwar Goods Station to Rewari derailed on the Mathura track at around 2:30 AM. Railway personnel are addressing the situation to restore normal operations.
