The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal for the appointment of six senior advocates as Additional Solicitor General (ASG) in the Supreme Court of India. The appointed advocates are:

  • S. Dwarakanath
  • Archana Pathak Dave
  • Satya Darshi Sanjay
  • Brijender Chahar
  • Raghavendra P. Shankar
  • Rajkumar Bhaskar Thakare (Raja Thakare)

These appointments are for a period of three years, starting from the date they assume office. The senior advocates have a distinguished career and are involved in various high-profile cases in the Supreme Court. Their expertise includes constitutional law, commercial laws, and corporate law. These appointments are made by the Union Government to strengthen the legal team representing the government’s interests in the Supreme Court.
