Six Bridges Collapse in Bihar: Engineers and Contractors Blamed

In Bihar, six bridges collapsed over the Gandak River in Siwan and Saran within two days. Officials blame engineers and contractors for the incidents. Special teams are investigating, and strict actions are being taken. New bridges will be built at the contractors’ expense. The collapsed bridges were around 30 years old with shallow foundations. Similar incidents occurred in Araria, Siwan, East Champaran, Kishanganj, and Madhubani districts over the past nine days.
