Karnataka Minister MB Patil Promises Support

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) is interested in setting up an office in Bengaluru, Karnataka. During a meeting with Karnataka’s Large and Medium Industries Minister MB Patil, SBF’s Vice Chairman Prasoon Mukherjee assured that they could create a ‘Singapore in Bengaluru’ with government cooperation.

Minister Patil promised infrastructure support, including land, water, power, and connectivity. He also invited SBF to participate in Karnataka’s flagship event, the ‘Global Investors Meet’, scheduled for February 12-14, 2025.

The delegation included representatives from companies such as Applied Total Control (ATC) Treatment Pte. Ltd., Biomed Services Pte. Ltd., Catering Solutions Pte. Ltd., Hermes-Epitek Corporation Pte. Ltd., Insphere Technology Pte. Ltd., Reetz Pte. Ltd., and Universal Success Enterprises Pte. Ltd. Entrepreneurs Jeffrey Guao, Douglas Tan, Samantha Teo, Chen Chiyong, Markus Sia, Pappu Milind Suresh, S. Mahendran, Jeffrey Kong, and Shambunath Ray were also part of the group.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met Singapore’s Lawrence Wong to review and elevate India-Singapore bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. They discussed expanding trade and investment, with Singapore already investing around USD 160 billion in India. The leaders also witnessed the exchange of MoUs in Semiconductors, Digital Technologies, Skill Development, and Healthcare.
