Sindhi Foundation Honors Sindhi Activists at Washington Monument

The Sindhi Foundation, based in Washington, is set to honor the historical struggle of Sindhi activists in front of the Washington Monument. This event aims to recognize the sacrifices made by Sindhi activists from various political, cultural, and social backgrounds.

Recognition of Sacrifices

Sufi Laghari, the Executive Director of the Sindhi Foundation, emphasized that no organization has collectively honored the Sindhi activists who fought for Sindh’s freedom. These activists faced severe hardships, including judicial and extra-judicial killings, imprisonment without trial, torture, and exile, all for the betterment of Sindh, which is currently under Pakistan’s control.

Commemorating the Victims

The foundation has gathered over 110 photos of victims, representing only a fraction of those who suffered in the fight for democracy, justice, and peace. Laghari noted that many were also victims of state-sponsored criminals and terrorist organizations.

Invitation to Honor the Brave

The Sindhi Foundation invites all Sindhis, human rights activists, media representatives, and social workers to pay homage to those who sacrificed their lives and careers for Sindh. This event is an opportunity to express gratitude for their bravery and commitment.
