An art installation of Shubman Gill, a star cricketer for India and the Gujarat Titans (GT), was unveiled in Ahmedabad on Sunday to celebrate his 25th birthday. The event took place at Boxpark in Gota, Ahmedabad, where fans gathered to witness the unveiling and participate in the celebration.

The installation will be on display for a week, allowing fans to join in the birthday festivities. A dedicated wall was also set up for fans to write their messages and birthday wishes to Shubman.

GT shared the unveiling on their social media, stating, “Admin, itna suspense kyun? Isliye. Presenting to you, an art straight from the heart – dedicated to our one and only Captain Gill #AavaDe.”

Shubman Gill’s Cricket Achievements

Shubman Gill gained fame during the 2018 U19 World Cup, where he was India’s vice-captain and scored 372 runs in five innings, earning the ‘Player of the Tournament’ title. He has since become a key player for India in all formats of the game.

Test Matches

In 25 Test matches, Shubman has scored 1,492 runs with an average of 35.52, including four centuries and six fifties. His highest score is 128.

ODI Matches

Gill excels in One Day Internationals (ODIs), scoring 2,328 runs in 47 matches with an average of 58.20 and a strike rate over 101. He has six centuries and 13 fifties, with his best score being 208.

T20I Matches

In 21 T20 Internationals, he has scored 578 runs at an average of 30.42 and a strike rate over 139, including a century and three half-centuries. His highest score is 126*.

In 93 international matches, Shubman has scored 4,398 runs at an average of 43.54, with 11 centuries and 22 fifties. He is the youngest double centurion in ODIs and the youngest all-format centurion in men’s international cricket. He was also part of India’s 2023 Asia Cup winning team.

Indian Premier League (IPL) Career

Shubman has had a successful IPL career, scoring 3,216 runs in 103 matches with an average of 37.83. He has four centuries and 20 fifties, with a strike rate over 135.69. His best score is 129.

He played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) from 2018-21 and has been with Gujarat Titans since 2022. He won the IPL title with GT in 2022 and is the leading run-scorer for the team with 1,799 runs in 45 matches. He won the Orange Cap for most runs in IPL 2023, scoring 890 runs in 17 matches.
