Shubman Gill Prepares to Lead India A in Duleep Trophy

Shubman Gill, a young and talented Indian cricketer, is gearing up to lead the India A team in the upcoming Duleep Trophy, which starts on September 5. Gill recently posted a video on Instagram showcasing his practice sessions, including his signature shots, drives, and sweeps. He also shared moments of relaxation, such as taking a recovery bath and lying down on the ground.

The Duleep Trophy and the upcoming 10-match Test season, starting with a series against Bangladesh on September 19 and concluding with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, will be crucial for Gill’s Test career. Strong performances could help him secure his spot as a number three batter in the Test team.

In his Test career so far, Gill has scored 1,492 runs in 25 matches with an average of 35.52, including four centuries and six fifties. In first-class cricket, he has amassed 4,034 runs in 52 matches with an average of 49.80, including 12 centuries and 18 fifties.
