Shubman Gill’s Injury Concerns Ahead of India vs Australia Test Series
In Perth, Australia, Indian cricketer Shubman Gill might miss the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Reports suggest that Gill injured his left hand while fielding during an intra-squad match. Although the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not confirmed the injury, it is believed that Gill will be unavailable for the opening Test at Optus Stadium.
During the simulation match, Gill scored 28 runs in his first innings before being caught by Navdeep Saini. He later returned to bat and remained unbeaten with 42 runs. Gill aims to play a role similar to Cheteshwar Pujara, known for his strong defense against Australian bowlers. In his career, Gill has played 14 matches at number three, scoring 926 runs with an average of 42.09, including three centuries and three fifties.
