Shoaib Akhtar, associated with the league since its second season, echoed Sehwag’s sentiments. He described the ILT20 as a breeding ground for talent in GCC countries and praised the efforts of DP World, the organizers, and the Emirates Cricket Board in making the league successful.
Akhtar also highlighted the league’s ability to blend cricket with entertainment, bringing high-quality cricket to the region reminiscent of the India-Pakistan matches in Sharjah.

The third season of the ILT20 will feature 34 matches, concluding with the final on February 9, 2025.
