Shivraj Singh Chouhan Rallies for BJP in Jharkhand Elections
In Deoghar, Jharkhand, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is overseeing the BJP’s election campaign in the state, urged party workers and candidates to actively participate in the upcoming assembly elections. He emphasized the importance of the elections, stating, “This is an election to save Jharkhand. We have to protect ‘roti, beti, maati’, take Jharkhand on the path of development, and also fulfill all the promises we have made in our election manifesto.”
Chouhan also promised that if the BJP is elected, the government will deposit Rs 2,100 monthly into the bank accounts of women on the 11th of each month. He expressed confidence in the BJP’s support, claiming that a wave of change is sweeping the state and that the JMM-Congress alliance will be defeated.
While campaigning for BJP candidate Koche Munda in the Torpa constituency, Chouhan criticized the current ruling parties, stating that the people cannot be happy under the rule of JMM, Congress, and Rashtriya Janata Dal. He accused them of ruining the state over the past five years and claimed that no work is done in government offices without corruption.
The Jharkhand Assembly elections are scheduled to take place in two phases on November 13 and 20, with vote counting on November 23. A total of 2.6 crore voters, including 1.31 crore male and 1.29 crore female voters, as well as 11.84 lakh first-time voters and 66.84 lakh young voters, are eligible to participate.
