Shivraj Singh Chouhan Celebrates Rakhi with Ladli Behnas in Madhya Pradesh

Sehore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 17: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan participated in the Tiranga Yatra in Budhni and Rehti locality of Vidisha Lok Sabha constituency. During the event, women presented a huge Rakhi to Chouhan and tied a Rakhi on his wrist.

Addressing the gathering, Chouhan expressed his gratitude, saying, “You have given me a lot of affection, love, and blessings. The voice of Budhni and Vidisha has been raised across India. I will put my all for repaying the debt of this love. I will serve the people till my last breath because for you I am not a minister but a sevak.”

Chouhan highlighted the impact of the Ladli Behna Yojana, a scheme that has benefited women in Madhya Pradesh and has now been extended to Maharashtra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Delhi. He encouraged women, saying, “Sisters, now no one can stop you from moving ahead.”

Discussing agricultural development, Chouhan outlined six priorities under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership: increasing production, reducing production costs, ensuring fair prices, compensating for natural disaster losses, diversifying agriculture, and promoting natural farming.

Chouhan also mentioned the Street Vendor Scheme, which will be extended to both cities and villages to make life easier for villagers.

Speaking to reporters, Chouhan said, “Today I have come to Budhni after a long time because I thought it was necessary to understand the work for which you (public) gave the blessing. Viksit Bharat is being built under the leadership of the Prime Minister and the Prime Minister has said from the Red Fort that he would work with three times more strength.”

He added, “I also thought of working with full strength for improving the lives of farmers and changing the lives of women and the picture of the village. I have engaged with my full potential in working for the same. People of the Budhni and Vidisha parliamentary constituency have made me capable of doing this work. This public is my God and that is why I have come to seek blessings of the people so that I can serve them better.”

Chouhan concluded by saying, “The development works of Budhni and Vidisha will keep rolling on. Public is my life and family to me. I will keep trying to serve them better.”
