Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut Criticizes Maharashtra Government Over NCP Leader Baba Siddiqui’s Murder

In Mumbai, Maharashtra, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has criticized the state government following the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. Raut accused the government of allowing gang wars and underworld influence to grow in Mumbai. He challenged Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to confront those responsible for the crime and prove his strength.

Raut highlighted a recent drug seizure in Gujarat, suggesting a larger drug problem across the country. He also mentioned a gangster in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail, linked to the murder, as a challenge for the Union Home Minister.

In connection with the murder, Mumbai Police arrested Pravin Lonkar from Pune. Lonkar is related to Shubuu Lonkar, who claimed the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was responsible for the murder. An ossification test confirmed that another accused, Dharmaraj Kashyap, is not a minor, leading to his police custody until October 21.

Baba Siddiqui was shot outside his office in Nirmal Nagar and later died from his injuries. His funeral was held with full state honors in Mumbai.
