Shiv Sena’s Manisha Kayande Criticizes Congress’s Promises

In Mumbai, Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande criticized the Congress party, claiming their promises are often “fake.” She pointed out that in states like Telangana and Himachal Pradesh, Congress promised financial aid to women through schemes like ‘Mahalaxmi Yojana’ and ‘Griha Lakshmi Yojana,’ but these were not fulfilled.

Kayande’s comments come as the opposition alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), announced five guarantees for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. These include the ‘Mahalakshmi Yojana,’ offering Rs 3,000 monthly to one woman per family and free bus travel for women. Other promises include waiving farmers’ loans up to Rs 3 lakhs, providing Rs 50,000 incentives for regular loan repayments, conducting a caste census, and offering Rs 4,000 monthly assistance to unemployed youth.

The MVA rally was attended by prominent leaders like Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, and Rahul Gandhi, who announced the Mahalakshmi Yojana. The Maharashtra assembly elections are set for November 20, with results on November 23.
