Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde Reacts to Tirupati Prasadam Controversy

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 20: Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde expressed his outrage over allegations that animal fat was used in the preparation of Tirupati laddus, a sacred offering to Lord Venkateswara. He criticized the Maha Vikas Aghadi and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) for their silence on the issue.

Shinde stated, “I think there can’t be any more shameful act than this. Lakhs of people do darshan every day. To make the prasadam impure to earn money, I think people have shown them their place and have thrown their govt out of power. I want to ask MVA and UBT what they think about it, I know they will say nothing. They do not say anything about Arvind Kejriwal, TMC and they will not say anything about Jagan. Are they supporting the anti-Hindu activities going on in the country?”

Earlier, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh shared a video clip showing Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu claiming that animal fat was previously used in the Tirupati Prasadam instead of ghee. Lokesh expressed his shock and criticized the YS Jagan administration for disrespecting religious sentiments.

YSRCP leader YV Subbareddy denied these allegations, stating that only organic ingredients, including ghee, have been used in the preparation of Prasadam for the past three years. He called the allegations vile and misleading.
