Buldhana (Maharashtra) [India], September 16: Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad made a controversial statement about Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha. Gaikwad said he would offer Rs 11 lakh to anyone who cuts off Gandhi’s tongue. He criticized Gandhi for his comments in the USA, where Gandhi said that Dalits, Adivasis, and OBC communities still lack representation in the system and that India is not a ‘fair place’.

Gaikwad stated, “The kind of statement made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has exposed the true face of Congress. During the Lok Sabha elections, they sought votes by spreading lies that the Constitution was in danger, claiming that the BJP would change the Constitution. Today, in America, he said that the reservation system established by Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar would be dismantled. Such words have come from his mouth. Whoever cuts his tongue, I will give them Rs 11 lakh.”

Rahul Gandhi, during his interaction with the Indian diaspora in the US, highlighted that the struggle concerns whether a Sikh can wear a turban in India and freely visit a Gurdwara. He said, “First, you have to understand what the fight is about. The fight is not about politics; it is superficial. What is your name? The real fight is about whether he, as a Sikh, will be allowed to wear his turban in India. Or if he, as a Sikh, will be allowed to wear a kada in India. Or if a Sikh will be able to go to the Gurdwara. That’s what the fight is about, and it’s not just for him, it’s for all religions.”
