Shiv Sena Leader Raju Waghmare Confident in Mahayuti’s Success in Maharashtra Elections
As the Maharashtra Assembly elections approach, Raju Waghmare, a leader from the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, expressed strong confidence in his party’s performance. He believes that the Mahayuti alliance will perform much better in the Vidhan Sabha elections compared to the Lok Sabha elections. Waghmare stated, “Our strike rate in the Vidhan Sabha elections will be double than that of the Lok Sabha elections.”
Waghmare also addressed the seat-sharing discussions within the Maha Vikas Aghadi, emphasizing that their candidate list includes many who align with Balasaheb Thackeray’s legacy. He mentioned that 4 to 5 new candidates were chosen based on surveys and public opinion.
Refuting any internal conflicts within the Mahayuti alliance, Waghmare assured that everything is well-coordinated, unlike the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi, which he claims is facing internal disputes.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, after visiting the Kamakhya temple, expressed confidence in the Mahayuti alliance’s ability to retain power, highlighting the developmental work done by the government. Shinde will contest from the Kopri-Pachpakhadi Assembly constituency.
The Maharashtra Assembly elections are set for November 20, with results to be announced on November 23. The main contest is between the ruling Mahayuti alliance and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi.
