Shimla Prepares for Monsoon Disasters

Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap Leads Efforts

Shimla’s Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap held a special meeting to review disaster preparedness for the monsoon season. The meeting included a 35-member NDRF team and a Quick Response Team of Home Guards.

Kashyap emphasized the importance of coordination among the Home Guards, police, and NDRF. He stated, “We are fully prepared to handle any disaster situations.”

NDRF Inspector Praveen highlighted their readiness and ongoing efforts to improve capabilities. He said, “We are committed to working closely with the administration and police to ensure effective disaster response and lifesaving operations.”

The teams will be stationed in Shimla for the next three months to ensure prompt disaster response.
