Shimla Flying Festival 2024: Paragliding Thrills and Entrepreneurial Spirit
The Shimla Flying Festival & Hospital Expo 2024 is in full swing, with Day 2 featuring an exciting Paragliding Accuracy Competition. Over 40 pilots showcased their skills, captivating a large audience with their precision and artistry. The event also includes an Expo with more than 40 stalls, featuring startups from sectors like food, dairy, handicrafts, and travel consultancy.
The festival, held in Junga, 30 km from Shimla, was inaugurated by Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla. It aims to promote adventure sports and lesser-known tourist spots around Shimla. The event has attracted 400 paragliding pilots, including participants from Nepal, adding to the excitement.
On Friday, The Great Khali will attend, along with Anirudh Singh, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Himachal Pradesh. Organiser Arun Rawat encourages everyone to join the celebration of sportsmanship and community spirit.
Governor Shukla highlighted the festival’s role in boosting adventure tourism and the popularity of Junga, expressing gratitude to the organisers for their efforts.
